A few months back, I bought my first Golden Goose sneakers (which I originally featured in this post), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! I’ve also broken them in well that I feel like I have a good grip on their quality, and a variety of other factors about them, which you’ll see broken down further.

Where were you able to get your pair?
I spotted mine on discount via Cettire and snagged them that way!
I ordered them on the 28th of April and they were delivered by April 30th, so the shipping was really quick .
How expensive are they?
I picked them up for $385.43, though they usually go for around $513.91.

Do they fit as expected?
I’d say they fit true to size, based on my pair.
They haven’t stretched noticeably, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go up a size
Is the comfort worth it?
They felt good almost immediately. I recommend wearing no-shows, especially since they reduce sweat. They’re made with real Italian leather, so it’s much more comfortable than breaking in synthetic materials. Plus, they’re already distressed so your feet just slide in.
Do they hold up well?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and I’m impressed with the durability. No glitter has fallen off, and the shape stayed solid. Since the aesthetic is distressed, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
How do they compare to other sneakers?
Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose still come out on top. They include a built-in arch bump that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is unique. And the sparkle on mine? Stunning.
Are they worth it?
Yes! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They’re expensive, so getting them on sale is worth it. Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you get a pair you love. Mine have pink glitter, but a neutral version would also go with everything.

How does the sizing run?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a European 36. Since they don’t stretch and half sizes aren’t available, I’d choose the larger option.
Is the comfort worth it?
They felt good almost immediately. No-show socks help with the break-in period, especially since they help with airflow. High-end Italian leather construction, so it’s much more easy than breaking in plastic-based shoes. Bonus, they’re already broken-in so your feet just slide in.
How durable are they?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they still look great. The laces are intact, and the leather hasn’t stretched.
Because they already look worn, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
